"From my early involvement with Greater Naples Leadership, Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, The Tamiami Angel fund and Lee County Economic Development, I learned a great deal from key business and community leaders in Southwest Florida.
Through this networking, it became clear that Southwest Florida had a shortage of concentrated resources to support the growth of early-stage businesses and ideas. We also discovered that there was an opportunity to help accelerate the creation of high-value start-ups.
As the leader of a high growth business in Cleveland and a founding board member of Jumpstart, a nationally recognized non-profit, I saw an opportunity to make a difference supporting high potential startups in Southwest Florida.
In November 2015, a dedicated group of philanthropic, private and public leaders, in partnership with Jumpstart, founded Fusion Pointe to provide a proven structured mentoring program.
This model enables regional startups to access expertise from industry leaders as they help entrepreneurs grow their ventures faster and attract capital investment more than they could do alone. The exciting part of our work continues to be helping high-potential entrepreneurs navigate the early stages of venture development-from starting up to forming a management team to preparing for growth and sustainability.
Through our expanded partnership with TWO39 Work, Fusion Pointe will continue to be a principal initiative in the region, connecting entrepreneurs, mentors and investors together."
